Serial/Date Code/Model (if known)/Misc Notesįor clarity's sake, use the following to represent generations: G17.1 for G17 Gen1, G22.4 for G22 Gen4, etc. Given the enormous number of model variations and the fact the scope of this thread to to track serial numbers with dates codes, a model number isn't necessary but is encouraged. For posterity I'd like to include all Glock models from around the world. While I believe it is possible for a serial number prefix to have more than one date code it may not be possible to have more than the letter prefix of the serial number available. But it obviously would be soon.Ī recent Gunbroker auction brought this to mind as well as previous discussions on actual production dates for the earliest Glock 17 pistols. I personally do not know when after manufacture they do that. Stamped on the outside will be the date that the handgun was fired. Takes about a day.Īnother way to tell is look for the small envelope with the 2 or less fired cases enclosed. If you have pistols that don't have the date code on the barrel, best method I've found for getting manufacturing date is to send an email to with the model and serial number, and ask. Just call Glock ( 77), ask for the manufacture date and give them the serial number. If you cannot decipher your serial number through the links above call or email Glock. Here are 2 comments I cut and pasted from earlier in this thread. Try to take images that would help you evaluate what you were looking at. Go ahead and create a thread and post images.

Not to be confused by the 2 letters and 3 numbers to the left which are your serial numbers.īeyond this to give you a value of what you may have that is Glock related will certainly require images. They should be three letters by themselves. That will be the 3 letters on your barrel hood. This practice ended in the Gen 2s and such your Glock may not have any. The dating break down on the first page of this thread will help you decipher your barrel date code if you have one. Now we are on the 7th page and such no one will read the 6th.įor those of you wanting to know what date their serial number comes back to check out this thread. Sniper I’m almost speechless on that one.
